How come I never realised your worth
when you were always there with me
and now when you have gone so far away
I realise that I have lost you forever

maybe it wasn't love
but it was the best thing I had ever felt
when for a moment I held your hand
as we walked in the drizzling rain.

splashing the rain water around
you laughed childishly at me
but lost in the whirlpool of mixed emotions
I smiled and I left your hand

life has gone a long way now
and fate has parted our ways
but on lonely rainy nights
I wish you were still there with me

To listen to the rain drops
whispering tales of long lost moments
to look in your eyes, to laugh with you
to hold your hand again..
